ABOUT TRAINING ON TRAINING

The Training on Training (TOT) program is a major educational initiative launched in Semarang with the aim of equipping elementary school teachers with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to deliver effective financial literacy education to their students. The program focuses on enhancing teachers’ understanding of financial concepts while introducing innovative teaching methods that make financial education engaging, practical, and meaningful for young learners. Recognizing the significant role teachers play in shaping the mindset and behavior of future generations, the TOT program empowers educators to teach essential financial concepts such as saving, responsible spending, prioritization, and understanding the value of money in ways that are relatable and applicable to students’ daily lives.

Through structured workshops, interactive discussions, and practical classroom activities, teachers are trained to create effective and student-centered learning experiences. One of the program’s most distinctive features is its peer-sharing approach, in which trained teachers pass on their knowledge and teaching strategies to fellow educators, creating a sustainable cycle of learning and empowerment. This community-based model ensures that financial literacy education can spread organically and create long-term impact within schools and local communities.

Following its implementation and success in Semarang, the program is expected to expand to other regions across Indonesia with the broader goal of fostering a financially literate generation. By introducing financial education at an early age and building a strong network of dedicated teachers who serve as role models for financial responsibility, the TOT program contributes to a brighter future for Indonesia. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to ensure that students grow up with the knowledge, discipline, and confidence needed to manage their finances wisely and make sound financial decisions throughout their lives.
