Students at Kanisius Kobong Elementary School were introduced to an innovative financial literacy activity through the Inveskids program, which encouraged them to transform used plastic bottles into upcycled merchandise. This initiative enabled students to learn how discarded materials can be repurposed into usable and potentially valuable products, while also promoting creativity, resourcefulness, and environmental awareness.

During the activity, students designed and presented their recycled creations and were encouraged to consider how these items could be sold within the school or surrounding community. By assigning value to their work, they were introduced to basic economic concepts such as cost, pricing, and profit.

More importantly, students were guided to view their allowance as an opportunity to practice saving. Inveskids emphasized the importance of setting aside a portion of their income for future needs and goals, helping students develop early financial discipline. Overall, the activity effectively connected sustainability, entrepreneurship, and financial responsibility in a meaningful learning experience.
